About Community Arts
Community Arts serves the Eau Claire area with quality musicals, comedies, and dramas. These productions are both well-known works, such as The Wizard of Ozor The Music Man, and original works to the Eau Claire area.
Community Arts is synonymous with Scene and Hurd Productions (a publishing group). Both groups were founded by Karen Hurd and are meant to deliver quality theatrical entertainment to communities everywhere. By utilizing a performing and a publishing group, we are able to provide a wide variety of ways for communities everywhere to get involved in quality theatre.
Scene and Hurd Productions along with Community Arts
is devoted to bringing quality musicals, comedy, and drama to the public.
Both original works and well-known musicals/dramas are performed to allow the community to participate in the acting and production of excellent theatre,
as well as to encourage the community with quality performances
that are uplifting and thought-provoking in nature.
We would love to have you be a part of the adventure of putting on great theatre with us! There is a spot for everyone in our productions. We are always searching for new talent to perform on the stage, musicians to play in the pit, people to help out behind the scenes, and administrative people to make things run smoothly all the way through the last show.
